End of 07 growing season
This year’s growing season ended with a couple of below freezing nights in early Nov. The fields are cleaned and planted with a cover crop, we still have some greens to harvest, but our field work is about done for the year. Time to start winter equipment repairs, and plant and seed orders for 08.
This was a tough year, weather conditions, rising costs, and new things tried, some successful and some not, have made us reevaluate growing methods and inputs. As we look towards the 08 season, I am excited to try new crops and new production systems.
